WELCOME TO PLYMOUTH - TABLECLOTH
A CELEBRATION OF ALL THINGS PLYMOUTH
For this project I worked in collaboration with Sarah Holcombe from the Plymouth College of Art. She had the idea to
create a design that celebrated all things Plymouth for use as a washable colouring in tablecloth.
I was tasked with finding the appropriate items to include in the design, as well as illustrating each one and
arranging them into a pattern that allowed for multiple people to enjoy.
ITS A WINNER!
The design was entered into the Made In Plymouth 'Mayflower 400' creative brief which were looking for souvenir concepts
to become official products to be sold as part of the Mayflower 400th Anniversary celebrations in 2020.
Our concept was one of the winners and was on display at
Ocean Studios in Royal William Yard, Plymouth for a finalist showcase.
A BETTER LOOK
During the process I illustrated multiple items, locations and food that to me represented Plymouth. Along the way
I would receive feedback from Made In Plymouth about which items were wanted or not
for many reasons such as licencing issues or public perception.

In this image you can see a selection of the illustrations created, including the ones left out from the final piece
such as Drake Circus, the Mount Wise towers, and the Plymouth College of Art.
