ILLUSTRATING FANDOM

For this project I was given creative freedom to create an illustration that represented the fandom as a whole for use as

Total Fandom's podcast image.

The podcast features discussions on all avenues of fandom, including video games, movies, books, and television.

With this knowledge in mind I wanted to encapsulate all four subjects into a single image. Because fandom characters are so recognisable I decided to create a face made up of four sections, with each section representing the four main topics of discussion in the podcast.

I chose Harry Potter for books, Spider-Man for movies, a Dalek for Television, and Mario for video games.
